This Year's Tree. . . .

. . .did not come out of storage under our stairs, was not pre-strung with a zillion lights, and did not leave our carpet needle free. BUT ~ this tree is one of the most beautiful fresh cut trees we've ever had, was the first one we saw at the tree farm and smells so incredibly good it's got me giddy. I'm not kidding. . . I didn't want to put a single thing on it because it is so beautiful! By nightfall the lights were strung, the star topper was in place and a simple sampling of decorations were hung. It almost feels like costume jewelery for a queen.

Heart-felt Journey

Casey, Lindsey, Ariele, Madison, Taylor
Where's Shelby?

In September, the Girls and I met up with their cousins at the White River Amphitheater to see the Heart and Journey concert. Imagine a woman, who saw both these bands perform when they first began touring 30 years ago, listening to her teenage daughters sing the words to their songs with her. So cool! What pleased me almost as much as being at our first concert together was watching the girls be embraced by their two 20-something cousins as peers. Doesn't seem that long along there was a big age gap between them. Good memories were made!
