Taylor was a sophomore in high school when she began telling us she was going to get a tattoo when she turned eighteen. As parents, tattoos were never the issue. The design and placement were always the concern for us. What would she pick? Where would she put it? And the biggest concern. . .how would she feel about it when she's 30? In October of 2011 she took action on her desire. Not as small as we thought it may be, placed on the top of her foot. . .a somewhat discreet location. Overall, we're okay with it. . .if that matters in the mix. But last night, late in the evening, her dad and I each received this text: "Every morning I wake up and look at my tattoo and am reminded of how much I love you both. I'm so lucky to have parents who support me in every thing I do. I love you both with my whole heart. <3"
